Job Summary
We are looking for a 3D Technician with a strong interest in 3D modeling, design, and emerging technologies. The candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying 3D models, preparing designs for production or visualization, operating relevant 3D software and equipment, and supporting technical projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. 3D Modeling & Design
- Create, modify, and develop accurate 3D models based on project requirements.
- Work with CAD and 3D modeling software to prepare technical and visual designs.
- Ensure accuracy, dimensions, detailing, and quality of 3D models.
2. 3D Printing & Prototyping
- Prepare 3D models for printing and prototyping.
- Operate and monitor 3D printing equipment as required.
- Identify and resolve basic printing, modeling, and production issues.
3. Technical Documentation
- Prepare technical drawings, measurements, layouts, and design documentation.
- Maintain organized project files, model files, and technical records.
- Review designs to ensure compliance with project specifications.
4. Design Modification & Quality Control
- Review existing 3D models and make modifications based on technical or client requirements.
- Conduct quality checks on models, prints, and prototypes.
- Identify design errors and implement necessary corrections.
5. Project Coordination
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, developers, and project teams.
- Understand project requirements and complete assigned tasks within deadlines.
- Provide technical support during project development and implementation.
6. Learning & Innovation
- Stay updated with the latest 3D modeling, 3D printing, CAD, scanning, and visualization technologies.
- Explore new tools and techniques to improve design quality and workflow.
- Participate in R&D, prototype development, and technology-based projects.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of 3D Modeling, CAD, 3D Printing, and Prototyping.
- Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Blender, SketchUp, or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of technical drawings, dimensions, and measurements.
- Good visualization, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Qualification
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, 3D Design, CAD, Product Design, or a related field.
- Freshers with relevant technical knowledge and project experience are encouraged to apply.
